Re: Outages.io installation error

Hi sorry to hear that. Did you try the file I shared with the previous person having a problem? There are so many combinations of packages and versions installed on a Windows machine that it's hard to know for sure since we don't have a Windows developer on hand. There was a problem some time back t...

Re: Attempting to Install Linux Agent

Great news, thanks for letting us know. Correct, rather than let unsuccessful agent installs pile up, they are automatically removed in 24hrs is not completed. Feel free to ask anything you need right here, we'll always try to help. The documentation is not always current because we made huge change...

Re: Attempting to Install Linux Agent

Hi, Let see if we can get some starting points here. I tried using both sudo and without and each worked, the agent started running. First thing to check is the credentials file. Is it possible you created the /etc/agentid file but without the credentials in it? Are the credentials each on one line?...

Re: NutPile Install Issues - Service can't be started

Thank you for the input. Based on this, we've made a small change. There are two stages when installing a program, the installer and the program itself. Because the installer completed and the agent is installed on the PC, we should not show 'complete installation' and now show 'installed' instead. ...

Re: NutPile Install Issues - Service can't be started

Hi, In terms of the username and password, can you share the agent ID number and more information on this. I can tell you that once the Windows installer has completed properly, it does change the username/password to two long strings. Is that what you saw and if you did, can you tell me where you s...

Re: Trying to install on Linux

Thanks for feedback. They key to getting the best reports is to run the agent on something that can remain on 24/7 if possible. If that is not your main PC, then a very low cost second PC or a hardware agent. The only way to really know what is going on is to log everything non stop, at least for a ...

Re: Trying to install on Linux

When you enable the VPN, your local network effectively becomes part of the remote network, subject to the remote networks permissions, policies, limitations etc. Different VPN providers would differ in how they have things configured. I'm surprised to hear that you speed testing works because that ...

Re: Trying to install on Linux

No waste of time what so ever. Challenges are how one learns and more importantly, you stuck to it also which makes it worth the time to help. The forum is quite new and it takes time to see people sign up but I think eventually, we'll find some great people that can offer their own suggestions and ...

Re: Trying to install on Linux

Here is my test so far. I created a new Linux agent and copied the starter code. I create the starter_linux_ocp.sh file and pasted the code found in the install notes. I made the path /agent. I chmod the file to 755. I created the /etc/agentid file with the credentials displayed in the install notes...
